How to build a sales commission tracker for your SMB
When spreadsheets break and the off-the-shelf options don't fit your comp plan, SMBs build custom commission trackers. What to specify and what they cost.
A plugin or API adds a feature that Bubble doesn’t include, or that would take too much work to build yourself. Plugins come from other developers. APIs connect Bubble to an outside service.
Common examples include payments, data processing, and user authentication. The right integration lets you spend time on your app’s main workflow instead of rebuilding a common feature.

Start here when Bubble needs data from another service. The API Connector lets you connect to an online API and use its data in your app.
It isn’t a normal plugin. It is the general way to connect Bubble to services that don’t have a dedicated plugin.

Use this plugin when Bubble’s default CSV export is too limited. It can run custom calculations and export a repeating group to Excel or Google Sheets. That is useful when users need to review transactions in a spreadsheet.

Use the Stripe plugin when your app needs payments. It supports regular payments, marketplace payments, escrow, and subscriptions.
Classify adds custom CSS classes to elements on a Bubble page. You can then write CSS in the page’s custom code and apply different styles to each class.
It helps when the Bubble editor can’t create the layout you need. You can keep the page in Bubble and use CSS for the parts that need more control.

The Toolbox plugin adds JavaScript and utility components. It can run JavaScript in a workflow and expose custom functions or values to your app.

The Fuzzy Search plugin finds close matches as users type. It filters results without a separate button or workflow.
As a Bubble developer, I have used Fuzzy Search in several apps. It can use a lot of workload units on large datasets, so test the workload before you put it into production.

The Rich Text Editor plugin gives users formatted text fields. It fits forums, social apps, and any other app where users need to write and edit formatted content.

List Shifter adds list operations that are harder to do with Bubble’s built-in tools. You can reverse, rotate, or swap items, and iterate over a list inside a workflow.
By Pathfix
With Pathfix, you can add OAuth for 300+ platforms without writing the connection yourself. Pathfix manages the OAuth server, tokens, and connection to the providers you select.

This plugin adds share buttons for popular social platforms. In a marketplace, a user can share a product page link on Facebook and other networks.
By Bubble
This plugin lets users drag items between positions. It works for Kanban boards and other interfaces where users need to reorder or move elements.
By Bubble
This plugin adds a calendar that reads from your database. Users can move through the calendar, resize an event to change its time, and trigger workflows when they click an event.

By Daily
The official plugin by Daily adds video calls and live streaming for up to 1,000 active participants. You can change the interface to match your app.
By Bubble
This plugin by Bubble adds a star input. It fits marketplaces and other apps where users rate a product or service.
By Buildprint
Buildprint is an AI copilot for understanding and auditing Bubble apps. Upload your app’s JSON export, ask how a feature works, and get flow charts or security issue flags. It can help when you take over an existing app or review one before launch.
Plugins add features, but they also add code that your team doesn’t control. Poorly written code can create security problems.
Bubble vets plugins before publishing them in the marketplace. That is useful, but it doesn’t replace your own review. Check the developer’s history and read the documentation before you add a plugin.
Keep plugins updated when the developer releases a new version.
If an integration fails, read the plugin or API documentation first. The error may come from a missing setting, an expired token, or a change in the outside service.
If the docs don’t help, contact the plugin developer. They may have seen the same issue before.
You can also post the details on the Bubble forum.
If the integration is blocking your launch, a Bubble agency can help.
