Major had hit a ceiling. Their manual reporting process was consuming 80% of the team's time, forcing them to hire additional staff for every new client they onboarded. The company was trapped in a cycle where growth meant increased operational costs rather than improved margins.

Disorganised spreadsheets and daily manual data entry for each client created bottlenecks that limited their ability to take on more business.

Yoran and his team at Major required a custom Spotify analytics platform that could automate their entire data collection process and provide polished client dashboards, taking their business model from labor-intensive reporting to scalable intelligence delivery.

Process

We started with discovery calls to understand their biggest reporting problems and what they needed most.

User stories helped us focus on the three things that would make the biggest difference: automatic data collection, live dashboards, and tracking competitors.

We designed the solution in Figma and refined it based on Major.app's feedback. Then we built a backend system that could handle millions of Spotify data points every day, working around API limits by using multiple accounts and Rapid API.

We automated playlist tracking, keyword analysis, and competitor monitoring. For the frontend, we used WeWeb to create dashboards that Major's clients could access directly. The whole system was built to scale as their business grows.

Outcome

We built a custom analytics platform, changing their manual data-entry process into a streamlined, professional operation.

The automated system generates client reports instantly, helping Major focus on expanding business rather than spreadsheet management. This solution eliminated the need to hire freelancers per client and the need for weeks of manual data collection. It allowed them to expand their markets with the help of automation.
